Rev. Juan Carlos Zapata—Pastor

Ordained in 2005 and appointed as Pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel and Immaculate Conception in 2011. Originally from Colombia, Fr. Juan Carlos’s greatest joy of his life is to be with God’s people in their good times and bad times. He wants to be a good spiritual leader, a man of prayer and compassion, and long to be an instrument of God’s presence in their lives.

Rev. Marco Pacciana—Vicar

Ordained ordained to the priesthood on May 28, 2011.  He has been assigned to our two churches starting at the end of June, 2011.  Born in the south of Italy, he is fluent in both English and Spanish and brings with him both a wealth of missionary experience and the excitement of the first time in the priesthood.

Rev. John F. Connor, S.T.B., V.F.—In residence

Ordained in 1964 and parochial vicar in Maplewood until 71’, Campus Ministry until 82’. Appointed as pastor of St. Cecilia’s in Kearny in 94’ to 96’. Serves as a judge for the Tribunal Office in the Archdiocese of Newark since 82’. Was dean of Deanery 19 North Newark.  Retired in 2009.

Deacon José Rodríguez

Originally from Puerto Rico.  Ordained in 1992.  Serves the parishes of Our Lady of Good Counsel and Immaculate Conception.

Mrs. Mariana S. Villegas—Parish Steward

Parish Steward, who coordinates Religious Education and  the administration of the parish.  Responsible for Catechesis for children. Started in 2002.
